Spawning out of East San Diego, “ The Marcelas” debuts with a gritty Goth and Punk Sound with a Chicano spin, weaving in and out of English and Spanish lyrics. They reference Horror movie media and self-deprecating notions that’ll make any young goth sway to the rhythm of their own funeral.
New to the scene but vintage in sound, The Marcelas plays local showcases and spearheads their live show in many local clubs with a theatrical performance.
The Two Brothers, Hector and Diego Altamirano, accompanied by Marcos Macabra, have asked Local Heavy Hitter Bidi Cobra from Matte Blvck to produce their EP, alongside Austin Speed Mixing and Mastering.
Their new single,” Lobotomy,” expands on the gritty sound showcased in their first single,” Vampire Breathe.” It leads the listener down a rabbit hole of chaos rather than their more deadly romantic aesthetic.
”Lobotomy” is accompanied by a music video showing their true raw nature antics on stage. Loudness, Rudeness, and Despair all while wishing you could howl at the moon while escaping a cemetery.

The haunting front man and bass player of The Marcelas Hector “Vampiro Herido” Altamirano.
Born on October 9th 2001 In San Diego Ca. Depression and anxiety have always plagued vampiros rat filled mind keeping him chained in a chamber of his own self pity. One day he said enough is enough, his demons won’t hold control over him anymore. While he still struggles hector pushed to turn his mental anguish into gothic punk rock driven songs. Making a Frankenstein's monster of sound from different genres of goth, metal, and punk that The Marcelas are known for. Blending a unique tone of traditional gothic bass with a sludge of fuzz for dramatic effect. With droning low ends that can shake the walls of your mausoleums, overdriving high ends that feel punchy yet sexy, catchy riffs that imbed into your mind like brain eating amoeba, and an eerie playing method that somehow makes the instrument sound like it’s bleeding. Hard hitting bass lines aren’t the only trick this vampire has under his dark wings. Hector is also a strong songwriter putting together and writing the chilling lyrics for all of The Marcelas catalog. Lyrics that sink into your heart like the fangs of this blood thirsty nightcrawler while telling a horror story fit for a vintage silver screen. This vampire isn’t afraid of the spotlight his stage presence is striking yet graceful, as he pour his dead heart into each and every hard hitting performance making an unforgettable experience to any mortal who dares to come witness a Marcelas show.

The Heart of the band Diego “Hombre Lobo” Altamirano is the brother of Hector “Vampiro Herido” Altamirano . Born on September 23rd 2005 in San Diego Ca. Diagnosed with autism at a young age lobo always struggle with communication and loud sounds. However with sheer will power and motivation from his older brother, Diego pushed through boundaries of mental blockage and is now the player of the loudest instrument in the band. Don’t take his “disability” for granted he uses the power of the spectrum to hyper focus and perfect each hit of the drum. With rolls that will make your head snap, tom bangs that make your ears pop, crashes that’s slice through your skin and the beat to keep you pushing through the pit. fast speed and primal force aren’t his only specialties he has under his shock collar. Lobo also possesses a sleek groove that would make any mortal dance there flesh off. This Chicano Wolfman doesn’t need a full moon to transform into an adrenaline filled animal as he causes bloody carnage on stage. Not only making him a voracious beast of the night but and absolute terror on the drums.

On a gloomy night Marcos was scouring the pages of the dark website known craigslist when he came across and ad posted by vampiro herido. Macabra responded not knowing he was making history and finding a new home amongst the two monsters. While not a brother by blood the two brothers have brought in Marcos as one others own implementing there bond not just as a band but as a family. While being the youngest member of the band don’t take his youth as inexperience. Marcos skill is unmatched with the ability to switch from lead and rhythm making him a one man guitar gargoyle. With solos to make you rise out of your grave, the rhythm to keep your head banging until it breaks off, the tone that sounds like the wailing of a thousand damned souls and the creativity that breaks the norm adding to the Marcela’s genre blending sound. Like Patrick Bateman this man’s Charisma is undeniable but don’t be fooled he’s still an absolute Mexican American psycho when it comes to shredding. We don’t just mean shredding the guitar but the faces of fans when he rips the six string as he aggressively preforms on stage. Prepare you self because when macabra starts playing the blood starts rushing and the bodies start moving making a pit of brutalities.
